Official Contest Rules

Be a Pivotal Player

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THIS IS A SKILL-BASED CONTEST; CHANCE PLAYS NO PART IN THE DETERMINATION OF A WINNER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. Sponsor

This Contest is sponsored by Pivotal Tools, located at 16066 S. Hunter Ave Oregon City OR 97045 ("Sponsor"). This is a skill-based contest, not a game of chance or lottery.

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins at 12:01 on July 7, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on July 15, 2026(the "Contest Period"). Sponsor's server or systems clock is the official timekeeper. Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period will not be considered.

3. Eligibility

To be eligible to enter, an individual must, at the time of entry:

1.    Be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their state/territory of residence, whichever is older;

2.    Be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and US Territories;, and reside in a jurisdiction where this Contest is not prohibited by law;

3.    Be a prospective business customer (or an authorized representative of a business) evaluating Sponsor's products or services; and

4.    Not be an employee, officer, director, or contractor of Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, or the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, children) or household members of any such individual.

5.    Not be an employee, offer, director, or contractor of an existing customer of Sponsor.

Employees of Sponsor's advertising or promotion agencies who have worked on this Contest, and their immediate family/household members, are also ineligible. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to adjudicate any entry at any time. This Contest is intended for business-to-business lead generation.

4. How to Enter

During the Contest Period, visit [entry URL] and complete the following steps:

1.    Register using the Pivotal Tools platform (a temporary or trial account will be provided at no cost) and complete the required contact information fields described in Section 5;

2.    Using Pivotal Tools, analyze the simulated retailer data set provided and answer the three (3) questions posed in the Contest interface;

3.    Submit answers before the end of the Contest Period.

Limit: one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period. Multiple or duplicate entries beyond this limit will be void. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or late entries are void. Use of any automated, robotic, macro, programmatic, or other technical means to enter is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

5. Entrant Information Collected

As part of entry, Sponsor will collect: full name, business email address, business phone number, company name, job title, and the entrant's submitted answers. This information will be used as described in the Privacy Notice referenced in Section 12 and may be used by Sponsor's sales and marketing teams to follow up with entrants regarding Sponsor's products and services.

6. Judging and Selection of Winner

This is a contest of skill. All eligible, timely entries will be scored by a panel of qualified Sponsor employees or independent judges (the "Judges") using the following objective scoring rubric, established in advance of the Contest Period and applied uniformly to all entries:

1.    Accuracy of each of the three (3) answers relative to a predetermined answer key derived from the simulated retailer data set (weighted majority of the score);

2.    Appropriate and effective use of Pivotal Tools' analytical features in arriving at each answer;

3.    Clarity and completeness of supporting rationale, where requested.

The entry with the highest total score will be selected as the potential winner. In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be re-judged by the Judges using the same rubric with added weight on rationale quality until a single winner is determined; no random or chance-based tie-breaking procedure will be used. Judges' decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest.

7. Prize

One (1) winner will receive one (1) gift card/certificate with an approximate retail value ("ARV") of $500.00 USD. Total ARV of all prizes for the Contest: $500.00 USD. No cash alternative will be offered, except that Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable. The prize is non-transferable. The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs or expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specifically described herein.

8. Winner Notification

The potential winner will be notified by email within five (5) business days after judging is complete. The potential winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and (where legal) a publicity release within seven (7) days of notification. If the potential winner cannot be reached within a reasonable time, fails to respond, fails to return required documents, or is found ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor's discretion, awarded to the next highest-scoring eligible entrant.

9. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner's consent to Sponsor's use of the winner's name, company name, likeness, and statements about their experience with Pivotal Tools for advertising and promotional purposes, in any media, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. A separate written consent will be obtained before using any testimonial, case study, or similar content beyond the winner's name and company affiliation.

10. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest, subject to applicable law. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

11. Limitation of Liability; Release

By entering, entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy, available at [privacy policy URL]. By entering, entrants acknowledge that their information may be used by Sponsor to follow up regarding Sponsor's products and services, consistent with that Privacy Policy and applicable law (including CAN-SPAM and, where applicable, state privacy laws such as the CCPA).

13. Disputes; Governing Law

This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. 

14. Winner List

For the name of the winner, send a request to info@pivotal.tools within thirty (30) days]after the Contest Period ends.

15. Void Where Prohibited

This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
